Research and Innovation in 2018

Marine Renewable Energies were in the spotlight with the commissioning of Floatgen, France's first offshore wind turbine, and world firsts in additive manufacturing. These were the key milestones of 2018 for Centrale Nantes' research and development.

The year was also marked by the signature and renewal of research chairs with big names in the automotive industry, advancing work on cleaner engines. The school widened its involvement in the field of health care, and the High Performance Computing Institute (ICI) deployed the supercomputing resources, to make supercomputing more widely accessible, and to apply Artificial Intelligence.
