Awards and Distinctions in 2022

This ranking confirms the school's commitment to and exemplarity in the area of sustainable development, with regard to its own impacts, its research and training remit, and its dealings with its partners.

The ERC Synergy Grant 2022 call results are out today. The selected proposals include X-MESH submitted by Professor Nicolas Moës of Centrale Nantes and the Research Institute in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GeM).

Centrale Nantes is positioned in the top 600 in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings out on 12 October. At the national level, the school is the 5th ranked engineering school.

Congratulations to Marinelle El Khoury, who recently completed her PhD at Centrale Nantes, on her best paper award in the category ''Sustainability and Materials / Sustainable Development and Life Cycle Assessment'' at the 14th fib PhD Symposium.

The 2022 edition of the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects is now out. Centrale Nantes stands out in Mechanical Engineering, climbing to the top 151-200, and entering the Management ranking in the top 301-400.

Stanford University has recently published an updated list of the top 2% most widely cited scientists in different disciplines - the World's Top 2% Scientists. 16 researchers from Centrale Nantes are included in the updated list - up from 9 last year.

Congratulations to Soukaina Riad, PhD student at the GeM and winner of the CSMA 2022 Poster Award for her paper in the category "Lifetime of structures" at the 15th National Conference on Structural Computations - CSMA 2022.

Centrale Nantes features in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the fourth consecutive year and is ranked in 8th place among the French institutions in the ranking.

Centrale Nantes is ranked among the top French schools and universities for the quality of its research and its reputation in the QS World University Ranking, one of the most respected world rankings. Centrale Nantes is thus positioned in the top 5 in France in mechanics, aeronautics and manufacturing as well as in civil engineering.

Centrale Nantes Professor Nicolas Moës, of the Research Institute for Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GeM) and elected member of the Académie des sciences, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Liège on 19 March.

Congratulations to Audrey Somera, 3rd year PhD student at the Research Institute in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GeM), for her Mécamat 2022 "Emilie du Châtelet" poster award.

On 26 November 2021, Safran group CEO Olivier Andriès presented Léa Guipouy and Mathieu Robazza with 5th prize in the USAIRE Student Awards for their vision on the future of aviation.
