In 2021, additive manufacturing brought about changes in the design and production of metal parts. In the field of health, it also opened up the prospect of biofabrication of human organs. Floatgen, the first offshore floating wind turbine, recorded a 14% increase in electricity production over the previous year. A partnership got underway for a world first: the production of green hydrogen from this electricity.

This 2 MW demonstrator, whose floating platform was developed by BW IDEOL, is deployed offshore and has been producing electricity since 2018.
