This course aims to identify the characteristics of tiles and the causes of problems and to prevent and propose solutions to limit the damage.

Introduction: observations and studies on tiles - Christel EBNER (Agence Qualité Construction)
Macro and general overview, key figures and statistics.
Feedback on tile construction expertise - Emmanuel BOURDIN (Ixi, CFEC) and Franck DESPLANCHES (Equad, CFEC)
State of the art of problems observed on tiles, diagnosis, causes and recommended repairs.
Physical phenomena of materials - Syed Yasir ALAM (Centrale Nantes)
Formulation and properties of materials, taking into account environmental conditions, bilateral effects.
Presentation of specific equipment for this type of study, Research Institute in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (GeM) - Frédéric GRONDIN (Centrale Nantes)
Practical information
Depending on the evolution of the public health situation, the course will take place in a hybrid format (face-to-face at Centrale Nantes and distance learning via Zoom) or in a fully remote format on Zoom.
