Centrale Nantes takes a stake in I-MC

I-MC (Innovative Manufacturing & Controls) has developed an automated solution to control and correct the in-situ manufacturing of a part, quickly and accurately. It consists of installing a platform (with an optical sensor, a 6-axis robot and a supervisor) in front of one or more machine tools. The solution aims to improve the overall manufacturing cycle time, thanks to a control-correction loop on the production tool.
2018 was I-MC's first year of operations, an encouraging first year since it ended with a turnover of around €153,000 and with a win in the 2018 national innovation competition (I-Lab2018).

With Centrale Nantes' investment, via Centrale Innovation, I-MC was able to launch its operations, and initial development, but above all to finance its first pieces of equipment, to produce a prototype, which became a test machine, which in turn secured its the first industry contracts.

Since the outset, I-MC has also benefited from technical and scientific support from Centrale Nantes. I-MC contnues to work with Professor Jean-Yves Hascoët as part of an industrial project for STELIA Aerospace.
