"Shake your career", a new careers service for alumni

Centrale Nantes's 'Shake your Career' provides a range of career services for alumni. These services have been designed to meet the needs identified during individual meetings and surveys.

Shake your career is thus structured around several key needs:

  • Career and personal development, with individual coaching to provide support for career success and co-development sessions online or in Paris throughout the year,
  • Networking, with monthly meetings on career issues,
  • The need to give (or restore) meaning to one's career, with the provision of self-knowledge tools and coaching,
  • The desire to secure an ideal position, with graduate-facilitated webinars, co-development sessions and coaching.

Centraliens Supélec National Congress held in Nantes

The Centraliens Supélec national congress was held in Nantes, marking the celebration of Centrale Nantes' centenary in September 2019. 400 graduates and students from all over France came together in the Nefs and the Galerie des Machines, a former shipyard and now a major cultural centre in Nantes. In the presence of the directors of the 5 Ecoles Centrale and the presidents of the 5 Centrale Associations, the day's theme was "Progress in a changing world". Graduates, economic and political actors, students and researchers present discussed the role played by Centraliens in scientific innovation and in ecological transition and more generally, their commitment in civil society. The evening concluded with a lecture by philosopher and entrepreneur Boris Sirbey on the question of meaning and commitment in the face of the changes and major challenges in store for society at large in the coming century.

A new alumni platform www.centraliens-nantes.org

More than a simple website, the Centrales Nantes Alumni's platform launched in 2019 allows all graduates to enjoy the benefits of a network that brings together a vast community of 17,000 alumni in 44 countries and to access the extended network of graduates of the 5 Ecoles Centrales (and Supélec), i.e. more than 100,000 alumni in over 80 countries. A confederation of the Centrale and Supélec Associations (CACS) organises no less than 500 events per year: conferences, convivial, professional, cultural or sporting meetings. CACS' mission is to promote the Centrale brand in France and internationally and to offer all alumni a powerful, dynamic and professional network.
