2021 was a successful year for the Centrale-Audencia-Ensa incubator. The year in numbers: 20 projects supported with 64 people hosted on site, 2 demodays with nearly 100 participants including investors and major partners of the Nantes ecosystem, 35 workshops, 9 conferences for incubated start-ups and alumni, 11 million euros raised in total and 7 prizes received by various partners: Start West, Seanergy, Monster Start-up Golf Cup, GRDF, Pays de la Loire Region...

- Farwind Energy designs and tests the first sailboat capable of large-scale energy production from wind on the high seasJuly 2, 2021Startup FARWIND ENERGY has tested its wind-powered sailing ship prototype on Vioreau lake near Joué sur Erdre in Loire-Atlantique.
- The startup Hera-MI recognized by Challenges magazineApril 6, 2021The Nantes-based startup Hera-MI is one of the 100 startups recognised this year by Challenges magazine. Its founder, Sylvie Davila, is the winner of the French business magazine's 'Startup and Innovation Summit'. Hosted in the Centrale-Audencia-Ensa incubator from 2018 to 2021, Hera-MI develops and markets advanced medical imaging software solutions for breast cancer in the field of e-health.
- Siemens Digital Industries Software acquires Nextflow Software, a Centrale Nantes spin-offJune 17, 2021With the acquisition of Nextflow Software, the German group Siemens, already a market leader in automation and digitalization, is stepping up its capabilities in numerical simulation.
- The Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Recovery recognises the startup ArticonnexMarch 12, 2021Articonnex, a Nantes-based startup hosted in the Centrale-Audencia-Ensa incubator, has been selected in the ADEME's call for expressions of interest, launched last September, for impact contracts on the circular economy. Its project for structuring, organising and developing the re-use of building materials was one of 8 projects selected.
- Yannick Bestaven - winner of the latest edition of the Vendée Globe - had technology on board from Nantes-based startup D-ICE EngineeringFebruary 4, 2021Using historical data from the European Meteorological Centre, D-ICE provided Yannick Bestaven with statistical data and probabilities on the different types of scenario that could present themselves during the race. The rest is history!
