Additive manufacturing at the forefront of research

The factory of the future, energy transition and engineering for health are the three major research focuses at Centrale Nantes. In 2021, additive manufacturing was the flagship process that led to remarkable advances in manufacturing and medical biofabrication. The work carried out has also targeted the manufacture of parts in the railway and shipbuilding industries and, in the medical field, the biofabrication of human organs.
