#2 Heritage Webinar Series - Mixing in small scales and combustion in alternate fuels (WUT, NIT Warangal)

Join the second edition of the Heritage Network Webinar Series, hosted by Asst Prof. Nikesh Yadav of Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) and Prof. V. Rajesh Khana Raju of the National Institute of Technology Warangal (India).

on May 5, 2021

The Heritage Webinar Series aims to raise awareness of member institution research facilities and projects to foster cooperation and promote joint India-EU research projects. For this second edition, the 2 hosting faculty, Asst Prof. Nikesh Yadav (Warsaw University of Technology) and Prof. V. Rajesh Khana Raju (NIT Warangal) will present the research facilities and ongoing research projects at their respective institutions related to the theme "Mixing in small scales and combustion in alternate fuels".

Both institutions have state-of-the-art laboratories and large teams of researchers investigating different aspects of fluid stability, flow transition and turbulence. NITW research team's expertise is in heat transfer while WUT's lies in hydrodynamic stability analysis.

The 1 hour webinar will break down as follows:

  • 20-minute presentation by Asst Prof. Nikesh Yadav (WUT): "Utilization of natural instabilities for improving mixing in small-scale devices"
  • 20-minute presentation by Prof. V. Rajesh Khana Raju (NITW): "Rayleigh Benard instability of viscous fluids and experimental research for using biofuel as an alternative fuel for diesel engines"
  • 20-minute Q&A session and discussion for all participants

To watch the Live Webinar on 5 May, 12:00 CET | 15:30 UTC:

Members of the Heritage Network, faculty, researchers or PhD students from hydrodynamics are welcome to attend, but also any curious soul wishing to know more about WUT and NITW work in the field. It will also be an opportunity to discover world-class research facilities as both institutions have been recognized for their research structures.

N.B. The webinar will be recorded and available for replay on Youtube.
